Synopsys:

Device manufacturers embracing LoRaWAN are facing a lot of difficulties due to often very long time to market and limited access to the latest technology.

To accelerate asset-tracker deployment for all kinds of applications requiring indoor-outdoor location, industrial solutions must offer innovation while accelerating time-to-market. The new Type 1WL Abeeway-Murata geolocation module allows designers to develop products that meet the most demanding requirements. This exciting collaboration greatly simplifies the development of new tracking devices and applications using LoRaWAN and offers customers faster time to market by minimizing BOM size, cost and complexity.

Form factor, power consumption, and security features are key differentiators of this module among the many different existing options, and thanks to Abeeway-Murata collaboration, it delivers an unparalleled user and developer experience.

The Type 1WL geolocation module encapsulates all high-density and high-complexity parts, requiring only a low complexity PCB and user code to develop any target use case, and reducing production test time to a minimum:

  • The combination of Semtech’s LR1110 and a full multi-constellation GNSS means designers can have both ultra-low power and accuracy.
  • ST’s industry leading STM32 wireless microcontroller brings the power of the familiar Mbed tooling and is pre-integrated with a state-of-the-art LoRaWAN implementation, including the stack as well as advanced features like multicast firmware update over the air and delta update compression.

In this webinar, learn how to enable millions of connected IoT devices to address multiple applications such as smart cities, utilities, logistics and tracking, agriculture and many more!

Murata’s LPWA Modules Drive Development of Valuable IoT Devices

The value of IoT devices is enhanced by their ability to be used in environments where data cannot be easily retrieved. For this reason, it is extremely important to develop IoT devices having compact housing that can be installed anywhere and where the number of required battery changes and recharges are minimized. Murata develops and provides high-quality, ultra-compact, low-power-consumption LPWA modules that meet these requirements.

Speeding up application development with Abeeway Murata Evaluation Kit: DEMO

The Abeeway Murata Evaluation Board has been designed as a complete demonstration and development platform for the Abeeway Murata Geolocation Module. It carries external components, such as sensors, buzzer, LEDs, buttons, antennas, micro-USB ports, ST-Link Debugger and many more. The evaluation board can be considered as a reference design for application development. The Board is delivered with example IoT applications and drivers to demonstrate integration with onboard peripherals.

DEMO: The 2nd part of the webinar will present the key features of the Evaluation Kit and demonstrate the application development procedure.
