Primary responsibilities:

Ce logiciel web permet la gestion de millions de trackers GPS/Bluetooth/Wifi/LGPS IoT LoRaWAN. Paramétrage de tracker, mais également cartographie GeoJson / Google Maps, geofencing, détection de mouvements, sortie de périmètres, etc… Un projet complet et complexe vous attend.

GPS Chipset characterization for IoT applications Intership

The Abeeway R&D center is based in Sophia-Antipolis (France) and combines Hardware, Firmware and Software competencies.

Abeeway is continuously evolving its products around multi-technology geolocation and the aim of the internship is to study and evaluate the latest GPS chipset available on the market to implement an optimum setting for high accuracy and low power consumption.

The internship could be broken down as follows:

  • Study and analysis existing solutions,
  • Learning GPS technologies
  • Patented LPGPS technique
  • Lab set-up to characterize a GPS.
  • Evaluate and compare performance of some new chipsets in various conditions.
  • GPS Signal quality,
  • GPS configuration (constellations, cold/warm start….)
  • In static and dynamic mode
  • Study new device features,
  • Selection of the GPS chipset for future tracker
  • Propose and test the implementation on a new tracker generation.  

The duration of the internship is 4 to 6 months . It will involve some knowledge on:

  • Understanding GNSS and how it works
  • Data processing and analysis
  • Programming language like Python
  • Use of measurement equipment
  • Designing tests and test plans
