Ever since its inception back in 2015, LoRaWAN® technology has been expanding on multiple axis. the original specification covered only the air interface between the end-device and a monolithic network. By now, the network has already got expanded into multiple separate elements, such as Network Servers, Join Servers, and Application Servers. Adding new interoperable interfaces among these entities have been followed by adding additional capabilities for the air interface, such as relay, and IPv6 compression. Join LoRa Alliance Technical Committee Chair Alper Yegin’s presentation to learn about the roadmap that took us to where we are in 2024, and the ongoing work to evolve this technology further.
