Actility announces that New Generation Sensors, leading Italian company specialized in IoT, is now an Actility’s Channel and Solution Partner, allowing customers to integrate their turnkey and tailored solutions based on LoRaWAN® technology into their IoT systems.
New Generation Sensors S.r.l. (NGS) is an Italian company established in 2015 as a spin-off of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. NGS is supported by a technical advisory board from the University and additionally, the company has a significant network of collaborating developers, allowing it to operate with a small core team and simultaneously keep a high degree of business flexibility served with a wide range of expert capacities and high-quality products.
NGS has strong expertise in the development of advanced wireless systems which follows the Internet of Things vision. The company started developing devices, applying LoRaWAN® from the very beginning and benefiting from this protocol’s advantages. Nowadays, the company is involved in European projects, developing and commercializing complete and customized E2E solutions for different markets, such as Industry 4.0, Smart City, Agriculture 4.0 and Smart Logistics.
LoRaWAN® is a low power wireless protocol for wide area networks. With LoRaWAN®, devices can communicate with IoT applications over long-range wireless connections. It also allows for devices’ batteries to last longer, therefore significantly lowering the Total Cost of Ownership. Actility already powers more than 50 telecoms operators with LoRaWAN® connectivity across the globe. Its enterprise-grade LoRaWAN® network server – ThingPark Enterprise – operates over 35.000 network base stations worldwide.
