Nova Labs Partners with Actility to Provide Widespread Access to the Helium Roaming Console

Any public or private LoRaWAN® operator can now set up roaming with the Helium Network via Actility

Orlando, Fla. March 15, 2023

Today, Actility, the world leader in Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWAN) industrial-grade connectivity solutions for the Internet of Things, announced a partnership with Nova Labs to allow any public and private LoRaWAN® network operator to leverage the power of the Nova Labs’ Helium Roaming Console through Actility. The announcement was made at the annual LoRa Alliance® meeting in Orlando.

The partnership is the next phase of Nova Labs and Actility’s technical integration, which has helped many public and private LoRaWAN networks extend their own infrastructure and utilize coverage provided by the Helium Network. The Helium Network is a blockchain-based open-source project of the Helium Foundation that provides public wireless coverage for a wide range of 5G and Internet of Things (IoT) devices across 192 countries. The technical integration with the Helium Network is done through Nova Labs’ Helium Roaming Console and Actility’s ThingPark Exchange, the industry’s first and de facto standard LoRaWAN® IoT peering hub.

“Through our integration, we’ve seen just how beneficial it is for our users to have connectivity to the Helium Network. Via our partnership with Nova Labs, we’re excited to extend these benefits to the larger community and enable any LoRaWAN network operator to achieve both technical and commercial integration with the Helium Network.”

Alper Yegin, Actility’s CTO

“Nova Labs’ mission is to remove friction and reduce costs that plague IoT connectivity. Actility has proven to be an exceptional partner to us.”

Historically, LoRaWAN-compatible devices were able leverage the Helium Network by being interconnected via Actility’s ThingPark Exchange; now, Actility will serve as a reseller, enabling any public or private LoRaWAN network operator to set up roaming with the Helium Network.
